What this site is

A record-keeping platform for the Ganapati Mahotsav 2026 fund at Shriram 107 Southeast. It collects contributions towards the festival, issues numbered receipts, logs every expense against a bill, and publishes the resulting accounts so any resident can check them.

It is run by the Mahotsav committee, not by a company. There is no commercial service being sold here.

Contributions

Contributions are voluntary donations towards festival expenses. No resident is obliged to contribute, and no benefit or service is promised in return for one.
You must enter the transaction or UTR number your payment app gives you. The treasurer matches it against the bank statement — a contribution cannot be verified without it, except for cash handed over in person.
A contribution shows as pending until the treasurer confirms the money arrived. Only then is a receipt number issued and the amount added to the published total.
Entering someone else's transaction reference, or a reference for a payment you did not make, will be rejected and logged.

No tax exemption

Receipts issued here are proof that the committee received your money. They are not 80G certificates and cannot be used to claim a deduction, unless the committee separately tells you it holds that registration.

Refunds

A contribution is a donation and is not refundable once verified, because the money goes straight into festival commitments — advances to vendors, deposits, materials ordered.

Two exceptions, both handled by the treasurer:

You paid twice by mistake, or paid the wrong amount
The payment reached the account but was recorded against the wrong flat

Write to avinashcpsinha@gmail.com within 30 days. Any correction is posted as a new ledger entry with its reason — the original line is never quietly edited away.

Your account

Accounts are for residents of Shriram 107 Southeast. Registration is approved by the admin, and one account is linked to one flat.
Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
Committee accounts carry the power to verify money and approve spending. Misuse of one is a matter for the committee, and every such action is permanently recorded in the audit trail against the name that performed it.
An account may be suspended if it is used to enter false records or to misrepresent another resident.

What is published about you

Your name, flat number, contribution amount, date, method and receipt number appear on the public register. Your contact details never do. The privacy page sets this out in full, including what choosing "anonymous" does and does not hide.

Accuracy of the accounts

Every figure on this site is calculated from the ledger at the moment you load the page. Nothing is typed in by hand, and ledger and audit entries cannot be edited or deleted once written.

That makes the arithmetic reliable. It does not make the committee infallible: a bill can still be miscategorised or an amount mistyped when it is first entered. If something looks wrong, say so — corrections are posted as new entries with a stated reason, so the trail stays intact.

Availability

The site is maintained voluntarily. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside the committee's control, and no uptime is guaranteed. If the site is down, contributions can still be handed to the treasurer in person and entered afterwards.

Disputes

Raise anything about a figure, a receipt or an expense with the committee first, in writing, at avinashcpsinha@gmail.com. Most questions are answered by the audit trail within a day.

These terms are governed by Indian law, and the courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction.
